Miku is an experienced meditation practitioner and circle facilitator. She was raised in a mindfulness tradition and has been meditating since the age of 7 years old. She apprenticed with Dr. Eric Carroll Desselle at the Center for Beloved Living for nearly eight years and has guided weekly meditation, movement, and community dialogue circles since 2013. She has facilitated a number of workshops in the Pacific Northwest as well as Hawaii and worked with people of all ages from all walks of life.

Miku is deeply passionate about living in harmony with the self, others and all beings. She truly believes each person contains the seeds of wisdom for their true purpose and the role of the teacher is to help guide each person to access the wisdom they already hold within. In Miku’s classes you will be guided through not just the physical poses, but may also experience deeper levels of awareness as you are guided along the path to living in more vibrant centered-ness.

Miku has been practicing yoga asana since 1998 and has also trained in tai-chi, qi gong and bellydance. She is certified with the Yoga Alliance for her 200-hour training and is also a certified Nature Therapy Guide through ANFT. Miku is honored to bring her unique style of vibrant grounded yoga, meditation and everyday mindfulness to the world. Whether it is in the classroom, or conference room, business meeting, park, forest, farm, mountains, or ocean, there is always a place in every moment for mindful stillness and connection.

Enjoy a video moment of calm in the “Soul Room” below.

A collaboration with the Rumi Educational Center.

“About the video: Soul Room is how Rumi Educational Center incorporates the idea of sacred space in a modern context. I was inspired by Dr. Miku’s presentation on Valentines Day who encouraged us to cultivate and make space for sacred love every day. With daily morning meditations on Rumi’s verses with Dr. Fariba over zoom, one can find a pathway for the soul to grow. By immersing in the sacred love within Rumi’s words and decorating my work space with sacred items, I can create a more positive attitude toward my outlet to the outside world through my computer. I hope to inspire others to use zoom as a window for their soul to grow and connect with others. – Myah Mashhadialireza Video created by Myah Mashhadialireza for the Rumi Educational Center.”
